FirstService is looking to accelerate its growth and expand its market share in one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the U.S. To achieve that goal, FirstService is seeking to hire a growth-oriented, people-focused service champion to lead its community business in Southwest Florida.
Position Summary
The Vice President, of Southwest Florida Condo HOA (“VP”), will lead all community management business efforts in the market and, have direct responsibility for leading all property management teams as well as profitably growing this $15MM business. The business today has 200 associates delivering service to approximately 50 associations in the Southwest Florida area.
Reporting to the President, of Condo HOA, the ideal candidate will have experience in building and leading a customer-focused service organization with a strong culture of performance and accountability. The President will be a member of the region leadership team and will be supported and will work cross-functionally with other shared service leaders such as marketing, HR, and financial services.

  • The ideal candidate is a polished professional and persuasive relationship builder.
  • The ideal candidate is highly organized, well-informed, and intentional in the actions they take to develop/motivate their teams, retain their existing clients, and grow their businesses.
  • The ideal candidate is an outstanding assimilator and communicator of information; able to concisely and consistently simplify and explain the otherwise complex.
  • The ideal candidate is a team player who is transparent and open to giving and receiving feedback.
  • The ideal candidate will have previous operations and service delivery leadership experience (Regional Director) in one or more of the following verticals and/or specializations: Real Estate - Property Management, Timeshare, Luxury Lifestyle, Hospitality, Food and Beverage, Resorts and Casinos (Back of House).
Primary Job Responsibilities
  • This role reports to the Market President and is responsible for People, Service, Growth, and Financial deliverables.
  • Build, mentor, and lead a team of Regional Directors, and through them, Community Association Managers, to deliver our service culture and results-based accountability.
  • Form strong relationships with the Board of Directors at all assigned properties in support of delivering an exceptional level of service resulting in measurable client satisfaction and retention objectives being met.
  • Partner with Business Development Director(s) to plan and deliver long-term, sustainable growth in the market through both developers and existing communities.
  • Ensure that our company’s ancillary services are understood and offered by the Regional Directors to their respective properties.
  • Understand and own the annual business plan. Drive financial performance to achieve targeted objectives and execution of initiatives as committed to in the business plan.
  • Attract, develop, and retain high performers within the organization. Ensure HR and communication processes are in place to actively engage with associates and manage a growing service organization.
  • Actively promote and represent FirstService Residential in the marketplace to build our presence and reputation within the broader community, as well as with professionals and vendors serving our industry.
Education and Experience
  • 5 years’ director-level or above leadership experience, preferably within multi-location residential property management, hospitality, food and beverage (fast food, fast casual, diners), resorts and casinos (back of house), facilities management, real estate services, or other service-based industries.
  • Must have proven experience in the development and performance management of highly successful teams; specifically, with at least 3 – 5 direct reports for 5 years.
  • 5 years experience creating and executing annual business plans (including financial plan budget) as well as managing a P&L and its related drivers of profitable service delivery.
  • Must have a proven track record leading sales and business expansion - consistently delivering double-digit, year-over-year revenue growth in their assigned markets.
  • Will preferably have led service delivery change management - analyzed, planned, and successfully executed operational turnarounds on behalf of territories/markets with 20 locations/units.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
  • A current CAM license is a plus.
Travel
Work will involve frequent travel to managed communities and regional offices.
